Biography
Boy Bol (born 1997 in Groningen, The Netherlands) is a Dutch classical guitarist currently based in Germany.
His playing is distinguished by a rich tonal palette, and a refined and elegant style of interpretation. Boy Bol began his professional training in the pre-Bachelor program at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Tilburg, studying with Johan Fostier and Marlon Titre. He continued his Bachelor studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands in Mallorca, Spain, where he refined his technique with Pedro Mateo Gonzalez and graduated with an extra distinction for exceptional artistic achievement.
He subsequently completed his Master’s degree in Weimar in the class of Ricardo Gallén, graduating in 2025, and is currently pursuing the highest level of performance studies (Konzertexamen) at the same institution.
Career
Alongside his concert activity, Boy Bol is also active as a guitar teacher in Germany, holding teaching positions at public music institutions. As a performer, he is internationally active as a soloist and chamber musician, having appeared in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Monaco, Bulgaria, and Italy. He has received prizes at international guitar competitions in Spain and Bulgaria.
